Squaw Valley Water Contamination

Squaw Valley Resort has been voted best ski resort of 2016 by USA Today. With thousands of acres of white powder to shred over and multiple restaurants, bars, and shops to visit. Squaw Valley is a popular vacation spot. Located in the upper mountains of California this famous resort has seen some water troubles this past winter season. During the summer months the region had their water systems updated. Unfortunately, in October the area received heavy rain storms with a considerable amount of precipitation. After performing a routine water test they became aware of a problem. The water used for drinking, cooking, and restrooms was no longer useable due to high levels of coliform bacteria and possible E. Coli. The resort contacted Placer County Environmental Health and Squaw Valley Public Service District about the contamination. They have stated that at no point had the contaminated water been used within the resort and they will continue to use pre-packaged food and bottled water until the problem is resolved. They will not be turning the water back on until the health officials confirm that the water is safe.

For months the water around the upper mountain resort had been treated consistently and over the course of several months has shown improvement. Recent test have shown that there was no trace of E. Coli and only low levels of coliform. Squaw Valley Resort is taking this problem very seriously and the safety of their guests is a top priority. They stated in December that while the issue is being resolved guest will continue to have access to their High Camp and Gold Coast facilities.

How to Self-Plan a Successful Party

Party planning overwhelms many people. But if you ask a pro planner, they will tell you that this is one of the simplest things you can do for your event. So, what is the secret to a successful party? Before seeking the help of professional event planning companies in NYC, try applying the following tips.

Keep a Checklist for Proper Organization

The secret to keeping things smooth and manageable is starting the planning process early, say a month before the event. Have a detailed list of all things needed and all the guests that you need to send invitations.

Have a Theme

Create a theme depending on the party purpose. Use the available resources to transform your space into a suitable party theme. Invitations will also play a significant part in setting the tone of the party. Have the cards designed in line with the theme of the party and send them in time.

Have a Self-Service Bar

Holding a party doesn’t have to be expensive. One way to cut the expenses is having a self-service bar instead of hiring professional mixologists. Have three or four brands of liquor with a tray and decanter to help everyone create their concoctions. You can also set aside a special blend to add fun to the party.

Have a Kid’s Table Set

If the party includes children, remember to have their table separately where they can have fun. You can place crayons and butcher papers to give the little once explore their painting skills. Also, include cupcakes to add to the delight.

Relax

The party doesn’t have to overwhelm you. Give yourself ample time to relax and freshen up as you wait for the guests. By being relaxed as the party planner, you pass the mood to your guests.

Financial Planner and Business Executive, David L. Giertz

During an interview, David Giertz addressed the fact that many financial advisors fail to address social security with their clients. And one possible reason is the fact that social security related laws and rules are not only lengthy, but also challenging to clearly understand. He bases his findings on a survey conducted by National Financial Retirement Institute, which further indicates that clients may leave an advisor if they fail to mention social security, because it makes up to 40 percent of a retiree’s income according to Instagram.

During the same year, he was named president of Nationwide Financial Distributors Inc. Mr. Giertz has been associated with at least one of the Nationwide companies since 2004.
His current role he is accountable for:

• Strategy; and
• Distribution of private-sector retirement plans, life insurance, annuities, specialty markets and mutual funds through banks, independent broker/dealers, regional firms and wirehouses.
