Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund for human and migrants rights

Michael Lacey & Jim Larkin are renowned journalists who co-founded the Village Voice Media and Phoenix New Times. The duo used the mighty power of the speech to reveal the existence of the grand jury proceedings, which required reporters` notes on the publications covering the Maricopa County Sheriff, but they were arrested by Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the middle of the night and jailed.

The jury also demanded for the identity of the readers who read New Times articles online. However, Lacey and Larkin spent their careers and time in defending their rights. After winning the lawsuit, they were compensated a lump sum amount of money worth $ 3.75 million because of their arrest.

Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin formed Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund using the money they received from the settlement of their arrest. The foundation aims at supporting groups that champion for the human, civil and migrants` rights and also the freedom of speech throughout the states of Arizona.

It is notable that many groups have been formed to advocate tirelessly for the civil, migrants` and human rights across the globe. These organizations dedicate their resources to promote and foster human rights by ensuring that there is no violation or abuse of any human right.

For instance, the Arizona Project Justice is one of the groups that fight for justice in Arizona. The team provides legal help to inmate and people who serve life in prison because of the injustice in the delivery of judgment.
