Ordinarily, we are used to seeing runway model groom in cotton, silk, nylon or latex material but the New York Fashion Week presented unique designs in PVC and vinyl. Who would have thought such would work? It ideally shows just how talented designers are and have come of age. The Academy of Art University is a renowned school of fashion which has producer great designers and artists who are bringing in new aspects, tastes, aesthetics, and motivation.
The New York Fashion Week held it 21st runway showcasing different designer which was held at the Skylight Clarkson Square on 9th September of 2017. Among those who presented their works are MFA and BFA graduates, ten in number showcasing both male and female wear. In attendance was America’s Next Top Model’s designer, Ms. J. Alexander and Sara Kozlowski of CFDA, the Education, and Professional Development Director. Designers got to interact amongst themselves sharing various ideas, craftsmanship and silhouettes and got a lifetime opportunity to meet mentors and legends.
A highlight way also how designers told the audience their different motivations to creating beautiful designs. Hallun Zhou of China was motivated by photographs and creative concepts acquired at school. Eden Slezln who hails from Francisco is motivated by vintage denim and individuality of life and love. Dina Marie Lam from Los Angeles designs to express a mood, emotion or form. These are just a few, but various designers are inspired by different things.

Academy of Art University was founded way back in 1929 by a painter and an editor, Richard S. Stephen. For a long time, the institution has been family run, first by the founder then son and later succeeded by Elisa Stephens in 1992. It has helped determine some fashion sense and evolving trends that have diffuse globally.
